We build quiet, dark rooms for people who know what they want to feel in them.
Founded in 2010 as DUKO Spain by a father-and-son team in Marbella. Rebranded as Sonortec in 2018 when our work quietly outgrew the name we'd picked for cinemas alone.
What began as home-theatre installs for expat villas became, across fifteen years, a studio with three tight specialisms — home cinemas, fibre-optic starry ceilings, acoustic interiors — and one broader construction practice that stitches them all into whole-home reformas.
We work with homeowners on the Costa del Sol, boutique hotels and restaurants along the coast, and with architects and interior designers who need a contractor who understands that a ceiling is also a speaker, and a wall is also a sound source.
Our workshop is in Marbella. Our install crews cover Málaga, Costa del Sol, Madrid, and — for the right project — anywhere a plane will take them.

Technology that doesn't shout
The cinema should read as a room first, a cinema second. The starry ceiling should look like a ceiling by day. If you're always aware of the system, we've done it wrong.

Measured, not guessed
Every acoustic room is modelled in REW and re-measured after install. Every cinema is calibrated to standards. We publish the numbers we tuned to.

In-house, on site
Our crews, not agency sub-subs. Our workshop makes our joinery. The person who sold you the ceiling is on site when it gets installed.

Two-year care, included
Every project gets a scheduled tuning visit at twelve and twenty-four months — recalibration, re-focusing, firmware housekeeping. Quietly, without a charge.
